No semblance of governance in the state Hyderabad: A plethora of problems, but there is none to address them. Total lack of governance seems to be reflecting on every walk of life. The situation continued to be volatile in all the 13 Seemandhra districts.
With the RTC buses remaining off the roads, the public transportation system was badly hit. So is the case with the schools and colleges that have been observing an extended shutdown. Uncertainty looms large over the fate of the students appearing for the public examinations.
Common man is finding himself at the receiving end with government offices left closed for week together now. They have none to blame as the government staff in the region were in the thick of agitation.
But for the ministers it seems to be different. Taking advantage of the prevailing conditions they had reportedly been clearing files of their choice by sitting in their houses.
The peshis of different ministers in the Secretariat, which were frequented by scores of visitors before July 29 CWC statement, wore almost a deserted look and the two or three personnel of peshi sitting idle and whiling away their time by indulging in banter.
When The Hans India encountered some of the personal assistants and personal staff of the ministers, they struck a nostalgic chord on the present events in the state.
But, many of them requested not to quoted. 'There was no governance to the people only as all things are going in a perfect manner to the mantris'.
A personal assistant of a minister belonging to Rayalaseema said, 'Sir, files belonging to the people's problems are not moving an inch, but the files, which had 'weightage' in the eyes of ministers are moving fast'.
Many of the ministers, who have been stating that they resigned to their posts and submitted their resignations to Chief Minister, are not hesitating to clear the choosy files of their vested interest.
The number of visitors reduced drastically in Secretariat is not because of ministers' absence in their peshis. The people, who approached these ministers at their houses for various works, are being disappointed with the answers of them.
R Sankara Reddy, a leader of Chittoor district, came to the Secretariat seeking grants to an irrigation project in his native village and met the concerned minister.
