In an email, TASC said, "per Secretary of State of California, FTASC is not the owner of TASC. Therefore, FTASC collecting TASC membership is illegal. Therefore the TASC leadership is now requesting the Telugu community of Southern California that if anybody collects money under the name of TASC please forward the reciepts to ec@manatasc.net to deal FTASC's illegal activities."
As per the California's Government Website records, FTASC was filed on Nov 23, 1983 with Business Entity Number C1232822. TASC was filed on Feb 12th, 2014 with Business Entity Number C3645022.

For these 10 lakh Telugus, there are 4 national level Telugu Associations called TANA, ATA, NATA and NATS. At the state level many states have one or two Telugu Associations. In California, there are many associations since the state is large. Silicon Andhra and BATA are major Telugu Associations in Bay Area. TASC and FTASC are from Southern California.
