Vaastu forced Naidu not to enter ANU campus
Vijayawada: Suspense over the location of new capital and Chief Minister's camp office seems to have been cleared.
The uncertainty is almost clear with TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu deciding to have his camp office here and locate the capital at Bapulapadu, between Vijayawada and Eluru, a place that was favoured by an expert team constituted by the Centre.
Though there were rumors that Naidu wanted to have his camp office and the capital on the 300-acre grounds of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), located between Vijayawada and Guntur, a visit of his personal 'Vaastu' adviser Raghavaiah changed the scene.
Sources said that Raghavaiah, who had suggested the spot for Naidu's swearing-in dais opposite ANU grounds, visited the varsity campus and found the place unsuitable for the camp office or the capital.
The university established 35 years ago could not register academic or other progress till date. Academicians ,like Prof. V Balaiah, Dr K Rajaramamohana Rao, Prof. G J V Jagannadha Raju, Prof. Y C Simhadri, Prof. L Venugopala Reddy, Prof. V Balamohan Das, Prof. Y R Haragopal Reddy, could not help give a facelift to the varsity.
These have been attributed to bad 'Vaastu'. The sources said that the State will have to start with a Rs 10,000 crore revenue deficit. It has over Rs 50,000-crore loan waiver (farmers and SHG women), which would be a burden for the new TDP government. The government will have a safe passage thanks, the leaders believe, to the 'Vaastu'.
Raghavaiah advised Naidu not to step into the ANU campus as it would be inauspicious. He suggested the State Guest House here for the camp office. The sources said that he had also advised Naidu to move towards the north-east after swearing-in and have the camp office here and the capital at Bapulapadu, further north-east from Vijayawada and Gannavaram airport.
Meanwhile, repairs to the State Guest House and the Roads & B Guest House here are nearing completion. Workers are racing against time to keep them ready, much ahead of the swearing in ceremony to be held on June 8.
