Japan keen to invest in Telangana HYDERABAD: Japan government has expressed its readiness to make investments in the State and is also ready to take part in the development activities being taken up by the government.
This was stated by Japanese consul general Massanori Nakano when he met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao to congratulate the latter for taking over the reins of the State. Nakano said that his government was eager to work with the Telangana government in economic and industrial sectors.
He said that his government will extend its cooperation in providing technology for generation of power. Expressing his happiness over the offers of the Japanese government, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said that Telangana was replete with natural sources, mineral resources, has amicable weather, forests and variety of lands.
He said that all these were positive conditions for development. The chief minister said that the State was immune to earthquakes, tsunamis and to natural calamities and added that it was a suitable place for industrialization. He informed that Hyderabad will be developed with international standards.
Chandrasekhara Rao added that the government will come out with nation's best industrial policy and a special policy will be brought for the foreign investors. He said that it takes a month time for forming the policies.
Soon a meeting will be held to discuss the joint programmes, said the CM. The JAICA programme being implemented with the financial assistance of Japan and power production systems in Japan were discussed between the Japanese team and the CM.
The Japanese Consul General has presented a memento the CM who was reciprocated with Charminar memento. The representatives of Japanese government discussed about running programmes in the State with their government's help. They reminded that organisations like Hitachi, Toshiba and Mitsubishi have established their offices in Hyderabad.
