TS Govt to promote growing vegetable on terraces
Hyderabad, Feb 10 (INN): The Department of Horticulture of Telangana State has decided to extend the support for the growing of vegetables on terraces by providing 50 per cent subsidy on the estimated cost of Rs 6,000 per 500-100 sq ft area.
Through this scheme, silpaulin covers, potting mixture, seeds kit, neem powder, neem oil and tools will be supplied by the department.
Interested residents of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad have been requested to contact the Deputy Director (Technical), Government Gardens, Public Gardens at Nampally, or over phone numbers: 837449458, 9949161042, 8374450023 or 837449007. They contact the officials on the given address or numbers between 11 AM to 5 PM in the office working days along with residence proof, passport size photo and the non-subsidy amount of Rs 3,000/- through DD drawn in favour of Dy Director of Horticulture, Government Gardens, Hyderabad. The last date for application is February 28.
