AP Enterprise Architecture to have State Data

Hyderabad, Feb 18 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Government has been working with software giant Wipro to develop AP State Enterprise Architecture (APSEA) which will create a digital repository of the state's data and work with all departments on the government's vision.

During a meeting with Wipro executives on Wednesday at the State Secretariat, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu told them about his meeting with Wipro chairman Azim Premji and company's chief strategy officer Rishad Premji at the World Economic Forum at Davos.

The APSEA project has been kick-started following the Chief Minister's meeting with Mr. Premji.

Andhra Pradesh State Enterprise Architecture is an all-encompassing framework for prioritizing, mapping out game-changing strategies, integrating various departments and service and delivering outcomes as a result of implementation the government's vision, 7 missions, 5 grids and 5 campaigns.

IT Advisor J. Satyanarayana informed the Chief Minister that the project will be carried out in two phases where phase one includes primary domain departments that are linked to social welfare while phase two includes secondary domain departments.

For this, the IT Department is working with the Planning Department to obtain data. The department will soon hold a 'Vision Workshop' as part of phase 1 of the project with all secretaries of the department and explain how APSEA will work.

As part of this, a welfare group will be working with departments to gather data and create a e-locker which will have a repository of data of every citizen in the state and their socio-economic profile, Aadhar details, education, benefits he/she is availing from the government, etc.

The primary focus of APSEA will be to improve social indicators through the Welfare Group which has categorized services in three sets ' A,B and C. To increase efficiency through APSEA, the IT department will use technologies such as SMAC (Social, mobility, analytics and Cloud), Big Data and also ensure cyber security.

For instance: If a student's profile from a school is chosen under APSEA, his/ her education, Aadhar details, socio-economic profile, health status, assessment of his/her cognitive skills, details of whether the student is having mid-day meals and other details will be part of APSEA's mechanism. This means the data will be acquired from concerned departments. This will ensure transparency and plug gaps if any, clearly outlining the faulty areas.

Stating that he wants to improve efficiency by 30-40%, the Chief Minister said that APSEA will bring in a systematic process of working on projects with an integrated approach and will also work for future. 'I'm confident that technology in e-Governance will lead to 2-3% of growth rate because it will ensure transparency and weed out corruption,' he added.

The Chief Minister asked Wipro to guide AP government officials to use the existing resources and set up a dedicate team for the project to finish this within a defined time-frame. 'This will not only bring in transparency but also reflect public's satisfaction,' he added.

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, IT advisor J. Satyanarayana, Principal Secretaries to CM Satish Chandra and Ajay Sawhney, Principal Secretary (Energy & Infrastructure) Ajay Jain, Principal Secretary (Finance) P.V. Ramesh, IT Secretary Sreedhar, AP State Skill Development Corporation CEO Ganta Subbarao, Secretary to CM Sai Prasad and other officials were present.
