Telangana lost Rs 1,000 Cr in RMSA Hyderabad, March 17 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister (Education) Kadiam Srihari had admitted that the Telangana State has suffered a loss to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore pertaining to Rashtriya Madhyamika Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) sanctioned by the Central Government.
In his reply to a question raised by Congress MLA DK Aruna during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, Kadiam said due to delayed approval of action plans and release of funds by Government of India and adoption of old SSR Rates and non-submission of Utilisation Certificates, the State Government could not receive the funds fully from Government of India.
"Most of the Utilization Certificates are being furnished to the Government of India now and pending works are being completed speedily to ensure receipt of future grants in 2015-16," he said.
