GMR promises facilities at Haj Terminal Hyderabad, March 20 (INN): The GMR Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Authority agreed to provide facilities to the Haj Pilgrims and the visitors at the Haj Terminal at the time of Haj Chartered Flights.
In a high level meeting held on Friday in the chambers of the Special Secretary to Government Minority Welfare Department Syed Omer Jaleel, the GMR assured to install a Conveyor Belt, Centrally Air Cooling System, a permanent shed for the visitors with facilities of separate toilets and prayer halls for ladies and gents, office accommodation for the State Haj committee and space of clinic for medical team, expansion in Customs area in the Terminal besides concrete flooring of the outside area and setting up a taxi stand at the Terminal. A joint inspection will be held on 30th March.
The meeting, presided over by Syed Omer Jaleel, was attended by Prof. S. A. Shukoor, Special Officer of Telangana State Haj Committee, Manish Sinha, Chief Operating Officer of GMR, G Ramesh Babu, Vice President of GMR Corporate Relations, Yashpal Shah, GMR Terminal Operations and Bharat Kumar Kamdar, Head Security and Control Officer GMR.
