Central Team to visit AP's drought hit areas Hyderabad, March 23 (INN): To study on the drought conditions in the State a Committee from Government of India, will visit Andhra Pradesh, in the month of April, informed Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao.
At a meeting held on Monday with all the Secretaries, Krishna Rao reviewed on sourcing of funds from Government of India, seven missions, status of Aadhar seeding, energy conservation etc.,. Through video conference with Anil Singhal and Dr. P.V. Ramesh, A.P. Bhavan, New Delhi, the Chief Secretary has discussed on sourcing of 13th Finance Commission Funds, remaining cyclone relief funds of Hudhud and other issues pending with Govt. of India from the State Government end.
Reviewing on Aadhar seeding, Chief Secretary has directed that the officials should focus on Aadhar linkage, as the Government has decided to link all the welfare schemes, ration cards and other benefits with Aadhar Card.
On the progress of Godavari Pushkarams, officials concerned informed that the constructions of Ghats, Engineering, Irrigation works, approach Roads, repairs, reconstructions of Temples and all other Departmental works are in good progress in both East and West Godavari Districts. Chief Secretary suggested that the Logo on Godavari Pushkarams may be prepared at the earliest and to take up all the works for providing the needed amenities for the pilgrims.
Preparation of manual on Cyclone, Public Grievance Redressal system, Energy Conservation, state re-organization issues are discussed and all the Senior Officers attended the meeting.
