Water Board collects record Rs 1213 crore Hyderabad, April 2 (INN): The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has collected a record amount of Rs 1,213 crores during the Financial Year 2014-15
When compared to 2013-14, Rs 300 crores more water tariff and connection charges have been collected. In the month of March 2015, a record Rs 145 crores was collected against an average of Rs 95 crores per month. There has been substantial increase in the paid CANs from April 2014 to March 2015. During April 2014, it was 55% which has risen to 59% during the month of March 2015.
The HMWSSB has requested the consumers to extend their cooperation and continue to pay water charges in time so that better services can be provided to them. The board has also thanked the consumers who have been paying their water tariff regularly.
