Children to get vaccinated under 'Indra Dhannassu' scheme Hyderabad, April 6 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh Government will launch 'Indra Dhannassu' scheme to ensure 100% immunization of children in the state.
The health department has consolidated the number of children who will receive vaccination under the 'Indra Dhannassu' scheme. As many as 25,457 from Visakhapatnam, 33,028 from East Godavari, 40,817 from Krishna, 30,824 from Guntur and 27,898 from Kurnool will get vaccinated under the scheme.
Addressing collectors and district medical officers via a video conference, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu emphasized on creating awareness among people about the importance of vaccination to keep diseases at bay.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to take up the programme and create awareness on it in Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Kurnool districts.
State Health Minister Dr. Kamineni Srinivas will launch the scheme in Kurnool district tomorrow. Other ministers will launch the scheme in their districts.
