SHC selects 14 Khadim-ul-Hujjaj for Haj 2015 Hyderabad, May 12 (INN): To serve and cooperate with the Haj pilgrims, 14 Khadim ul Hujjaj (Haj Volunteers), seven each from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, were selected through draw of lots (Qurrah) at Haj House in Nampally here on Tuesday.
Special Secretary to Andhra Pradesh Government Shaik Mohammed Iqbal Telangana Minorities Welfare Department Director Mohammed Jalaluddin Akber conducted the draw of lots and congratulated the selected Khadim ul Hujjaj. They hoped that they would serve the Haj pilgrims in a better way. State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor presided over the function. He cautioned the selected Khadim ul Hujjaj that departmental action would be taken against them if any complaint is received against them from the pilgrims.
The selected Khadim ul Hujjaj are: Andhra Region - Shaik Mohammed Ghiyas (Guntur), Shaik Jani Basha (Prakasam) and Mohaiminul Haq (Guntur); Telangana - S. Hussamuddin Qadri (Medak), M.A. Faheem (Karimnagar), M.A. Raheem (Karimnagar) and M. Lateef Ahmed (Adilabad); Rayalaseema - Patluru Dawood (Anantapur), B. Mohammed Ayub Khan (Kadapa), R. Abdul Quddus (Kadapa), P. Tajuddin Baba (Kadapa) and Twin Cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad - Syed Rafi, Mohammed Asifuddin and Mohammed Zakir.
Besides the above 14 Khadim ul Hujjaj, four others were also selected one each from four regions under Waiting List. They are Shaik Mastan (Prakasam- Andhra), A. Rahman A. Nazeer (Medak ' Telangana), Shaik Jeelan Basha (Kadapa ' Rayalaseema) and Mohammed Mukhtar (Hyderabad).
Altogether 5,209 Haj pilgrims are selected to perform Haj this year, for which 17 Khadim ul Hujjaj will be sent at the rate of 300:1.
