Shiva Parvathi Kalyanam performed in Dubai

Dubai, May 18: In a country where people come to work and make some money, some senior executives and officials came together to perform a divine event - Mahanyasa Purvaka Shatha Rudrabhishekam and Shiva Parvathi kalyana mahothsavam in Dubai.

Sounds strange, but it happened on Friday, the 17th of April 2015 in Emirates English Speaking School Dubai. It was a day of divinity, spirituality and a mesmerizing experience for over 2500 people in Dubai. Lot of religious fervor, gaiety and happiness was seen in abundance all over. Men, women and children in traditional attire, from North and southern states of India especially, Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh attended the event and witnessed the wedding ceremony of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvathi being performed by priests affiliated to Shringeri Sharada Peetham.

Newly formed ShreeKaram group performed Rudrabhishekam, Shiva Parvathi Kalyanam, Rudra Homam and Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam. The day ended with an excellent speech by Sri. Mylavarapu Srinivas Rao, a leading scholar and an authority on Lalitha Sahasranamam. Priests associated with Shringeri Sarada Peetham performed the rituals. Traditional lunch on banana leaves was served to all the participants and devotees.

"Lalitha Sahasranamam" was recited by over 500 people in the evening. Devotees were immersed in Dr. Mylavarapu's discourse in the evening on secrets of Lalitha Sahasranamam. After the discourse "Sahasra Deepa Alankara", where the devotees lighted 1000 lamps prepared in ghee. This was followed by Maha Mangala Harathi and Mahadasheervachanam.

Program was attended by around 2500 people from various part of U.A.E. Participants and visitors of the program praised Shreekaram team for the wonderful arrangements made by them and hospitality extended by them.
Pradosham team under the guidance of Sri. Veda Hari added ultimate divinity to the program by chanting Rudram. The program was well supported by Sampradayam team, Asthika samajam & Pragna classes.

ShreeKaram Bhakta Brundam is formed by senior executives and officials from industry spanning IT, Insurance, Automobiles, Healthcare and Government organizations. We want to perform this event every year and enable people living in United Arab Emirates participate in such auspicious and divine activities, said one of the founding members of the group. Our aim is to maintain the richness of our culture and festivals to the younger generation, he added.
