AP Govt to seek public opinion on performance

Hyderabad, May 19 (INN): Key Performance Indicators of all the Departments month-wise at Chief Secretary Level and quarterly by the Chief Minister will be reviewed. The government is proposing to take the opinion of the public on the Performance Indicators of all the Departments, Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao said.

The Chief Secretary chaired a meeting with all the Secretaries and Head of the Departments at the Secretariat on Tuesday and issues related to Growth Engines allocation plans implementation, Allocation of month-wise budget and fixation of physical targets to the district level functionaries, Formulation of policies to facilitate development agenda and finalization for placing before the Council of Ministers for consideration, Preparation of shelf of projects for Externally Added Project (EAP), Aadhar seeding, Godavari pushkarams, Guidelines for transfers during the ensuing summer vacation, Highlighting achievement of Government on completion of one year, were discussed in the meeting.

Reviewing on Aadhar Seeding, the Chief Secretary suggested that all the service oriented Department viz., Civil Supplies, Transport, APCPDCL, CCLA (Web land) etc., may be geared up for completing of Aadhar seeding and verification at the earliest to enable the common-men to get the benefits from the Government.

The Chief Secretary asked the concerned for implementing the action plan, drilling down the activities to Mandal and Village level for the state growth while reviewing on the implementation of Growth Engines Action Plan and also directed the Officers, that month-wise performance of each and every Department may be evaluated to identify the hurdles and to work towards improvement.

Spl. Chief Secretary S.P. Tucker explained about the Growth Engines in the State and how to increase the growth rate from the sectors those are identified as income generators in the districts extensively dependent on Primary Sector (Agriculture related) and informed that there is a need to change in the structure to increase the growth rate.

The Chief Secretary has issued instructions to Information Technology Officers for providing necessary infrastructure to all the Departments, to maintain e-Office system in the State duly avoiding manual filing system in near future, for exhibiting the transparency.

Senior Officers Ajeya Kallam, L.V. Subrahmanyam, J.S.V. Prasad, Poonam Malakondaiah, Premachandra Reddy, Pradyumna and others attended the meeting.
