'Business at ease' will be a reality: KCR Hyderabad, June 5 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao said that in Telangana State 'the business at ease' will become a reality when once the State Industrial Policy is formally launched on 12th of this month.
Interacting with a team of 56 working executives from various Corporates doing MBA program at Indian School of Business this afternoon at Dr MCR HRD Institute, the Chief Minister expressed his confidence that the Industrial Policy will bring lot of investments in the state. He explained to them about the gist of the Policy giving details in brief regarding the single window without grills, online application system, chasing cell in CMO, processing time of 10-12 days, the CM himself handing over the package of permissions, hassle free and corruption free mechanism etc. CM also mentioned about the land bank of one Lakh seventy acres for making available to industries.
The Chief Minister, in his interaction with the participants, also explained how after the formation of the state and after forming the government he and his team of ministers and officers worked hard and seriously engaged in finding out ways and means to develop the state. He said it was very difficult in the beginning. Quoting one example the CM said within three months after he became Chief Minister, the government had to compile the financial requirements and proposals of the state as desired by the finance commission. When his government could provide within time the finance commission had all the praise to his government.
KCR said during the last one year the emphasis was on welfare measures and they could fulfil the basic minimum needs of the people in many ways which has been lauded by many including the media. With regards industrial policy the CM said that after a series of brainstorming sessions and after going through 1000 and odd reports on this subject as well as studying policies of several countries his government has prepared the best of the industrial policies. He said he personally visited Singapore and Malaysia to study and understand their industrial polices.
The Executives of the MBA program include entrepreneurs, budding entrepreneurs, senior executives from various companies, bureaucrats, doctors and others. Few of them have also working experience in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minster also said that his state is not only budget surplus state but also would become soon power surplus state. He said that by the end of this year the power production would reach 7000 MW and by the end of 2018 it would reach 25, 000 MW. He said that everything in this direction has been meticulously planned. Mentioning about Ultra Super Power Plant that would come up at Damaracherla in Nalgonda District the CM said in a record time of two and half months the government of India gave all clearances for the plant. He said his government would spend Rs. 91, 500 Crores for power production and by the end of 2018 the state will become power surplus state. To become Power Surplus State is a progressive step towards industrialization said the CM.
KCR requested the participant executives to propagate the State Industrial Policy and when they do so the state of Telangana in particular and the Country in general will flourish. CM also mentioned about Hyderabad City and how it is an excellent place for investment. He said that no other city in the country has a similar advantage like Hyderabad and its climatic conditions. He said that because of this reason major IT companies have their backup mechanism in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister said that his government has spent Rs. 400 Crores for modernization of Police Department to maintain Law and Order. His government has decided to curb eve teasing in the city and in other parts of the state for which SHE teams have been formed.
Initiating and later interacting, the representatives of the executives congratulated the Chief Minister on the first birth anniversary of the state. They said that the CM and his government are great supporters of Indian School of Business which is Jewel of pride for Telangana and whole country. They mentioned to the Chief Minister that most of them closely followed his journey in achieving Telangana State and how he made his dreams a reality. They said that they have seen many social development programs during the last one year in the state. They particularly mentioned about Telangana Drinking Water Supply Scheme, plans for pharma city, smart city, Wi-Fi city, Google coming forward to set up its business in Hyderabad and so on. They said Telangana is a promising state and under the guidance of CM they have seen a caring and responsive government in the state.
Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary to CM S. Narsing Rao, Additional Principal Secretary to CM Shanta Kumari, Principal Secretary Industries and Power Arvind Kumar and Special Secretary to CM Bhoopal Reddy were present in the interactive session.
