200 Constable Recruits pass out of RPSF Camp Hyderabad, June 15 (INN): At a grand Passing out Parade of Constable Recruits of Railway Protection Force (RPF), held on Monday at 7th Battalion, Railway Protection Special Force Camp, Moula Ali, 200 RPF recruits, who have successfully completed a seven month's rigorous initial training at this centre, were passed out with instruction to report to regular duty. These newly recruited RPF Constable will report for duty in Eastern Railway, Kolkata.
RPSF Inspector General Anoop Srivastava was the Chief Guest while S.C. Parhi, Chief Security Commissioner, SCR was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
In his address, Anoop Srivastava said that Indian Railways, in an un-precedent manner, recruited 16,500 RPF constables last year and these Constable Recruits are undergoing initial training at RPF Training Institutes at various Zonal Railways. Since the capacity at these RPF Training Centres cannot handle such a large number of candidates, the recruits are being trained at various Paramilitary and State Police Training Institutes also, he added.
Further, he stated that the new recruits were given the best training and were trained in infantry, weaponry, un-armed combats, law and order matters, working of railways, Indian Railways Act, crime in railways, public interface, gender sensitisation, and also in yoga. These candidates will be imparted training in practical field working during the course of their regular duties. He urged them to work with utmost dedication to ensure the security of railway assets and to prevent theft, dacoit etc., in the trains in order to sustain the confidence of the travelling public.
Earlier, Anoop Srivastava, inspected the passing out parade, received the guard of honour. Impressed by the smart turn out of parade, he announced a group cash award of Rs. 10,000/ to the Instructors and co-ordinators. He gave away the medals and certificates to the outstanding candidates of the training course.
Asim Bhakta, who was commanding the parade, bagged the Medal for all round (indoor & outdoor) best performer while Deepak Kumar secured the Medal for best indoor performer and Amit Kumar Bari clinched the Medal for second best commander.
S.C. Parhi, Chief Security Commissioner, SCR, G. Elisha, Commandant, RPSF, Moula Ali also spoke on the occasion. Senior railway officials, especially from security department and staff were present on the occasion in large number.
