Hindi courses for Central Govt employees


 
Hyderabad, June 16 (INN): As part of Hindi Teaching Scheme, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs is organising courses of Hindi Prabodh, Praveen, Pragya, Banking, Pragya and Parangat for July-November 2015 session.

Classes for these courses will commence from July 1 and will be conducted by the Hindi Pradhyapaks of this Department. The duration of each course is five months. Examinations will be held in November 2015, informed Dr. Koshalya, Assistant Director (Incharge) in a press release.

All such employees who possess working knowledge of Hindi can be nominated for this course by the head of the office. The purpose of this course is to expertise the employee, in Hindi to discharge his official work. The classes can be conducted in any Central Govt. Office, where 30 officers/Employees are detained for each class. Separate classes can be held exclusively for Officers, as par necessity or demand of any office.

This training is mandatory and as per GOI, DOL, OM No.12014/01/76/Hindi-1/Dated 19.02.1976 it is not necessary to ascertain the willingness of the Officers/Employees for nomination to Hindi classes. The same rule will be applicable while nominating employees for Parangat. There is no exemption granted on the basis of age.

As per the recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission the Training of Official Language Hindi and Hindi Typing is necessary for the personnel who are upgraded in Group C from Group D. (Chapter No.2.2.9 of the report). At the time of nomination concerned officers/Employees may please be informed in writing that during the period of training their attendance in the classes and appearing in the examination at the end of the training is compulsory.

Officers/Employees who have appeared for Prabodh and Praveen examination in May 2015 may be nominated for the next course, without waiting for the results. Separate Hindi Classes exclusively for the Govt. undertakings, Nationalized Banks etc., may be conducted on request and payment for the services of the Hindi Pradhyapak of Hindi Teaching Scheme, as fixed by the D.O.L, Ministry of Home Affairs has to be made by such Organizations.
