Amir Khan Contract Expired With Govt; Megastar Roped
Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan who has been endorsing Incredible India, lost the big post for his comments on intloernace. Amir Khan's remarks on the religious intolerance forced him to quit as brand ambassador of Incredible India.Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is the new face of the government's famous Incredible India campaign to market the country to tourists abroad.
Bachchan is going to get the official letter today and he is directly roped in by the government unlike actor Aamir Khan. Amid reports that Amir Khan was being punished by the government Tourism and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said that Amir featured in the Incredible India campaign through an ad agency and his contract with the government had expired.
As per reports Amitabh name was reportedly suggested by the Prime Minister's OfficeEarlier Amitabh worked for tourism campaign for the Prime Minister's home state of Gujarat. Meanwhile Amir responding to the decision said he respects the government's decision to "discontinue" his services and added that he never charged for being part of the campaign.
