After Maya Bazar Its Kochadaiyaan Superstar Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan, India's first motion capture film ' is all set to break a 50-year-old barrier. The movie, which was released in all major languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Marathi, is now going to be made in Kannada. The film is going to be dubbed in Kannada.
Kochadaiiyaan is the first movie to be 'dudded' into Kannada after the 50-year-old ban on dubbing movies was recently lifted by the Kannada Dubbing Film Chamber.
Way back in 1965, the Karnataka Film Chamber had passed a resolution that no film from other languages will be allowed to have a dubbed release in the State. The ban has been strictly followed to this day and it was recently lifted. As per reports the Kannada script of Kochadaiyaan is currently being prepared and work on the actual dubbing is said to begin in a few days' time.
Dubbing film chamber president Krishnegowda said that they had got the rights of the film and that they are trying to get Kannada singers to sing the songs. Telugu super hit movie 'Mayabazaar' was the last dubbed film in Kannada, way back in 1965. With Kochadaiiyaan being the first movie to be dubbed in 50 years, Rajini fans are all elated.
