Ramoji Rao, Rajini & Rajamouli Won Padma Awards
The government of India has announced prestigious Padma awards on Monday. Media Baron Ramoji Rao and Superstar Rajinikanth names were announced for Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award in the country. Tollywood's Most Successful director, SS Rajamouli is chosen for Padma Shri award.
Music maestro Girija Devi, classical dance icon Yamini Krishnamurthy, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar are among the 10 recipients of the nation's most prestigious Padma Vibhushan award. Reliance Industries founder late Dhirubhai Ambani was awarded the Padma Vibhushan posthumously.Apart from Rajamouli Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devagan and director Madhur Bhandarkar will also get Padma Shri.
Anupam Kher and Singer Udit Narayan will be receiving the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. From sports arena Sania Mirza and Saina Nehwal are also in the list of Padma Bhushan winners.Government of India announced 116 Padma awards which include 10 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan and 87 Padma Sri for those contributed and performed extraordinarily in various fields. Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu congratulated Ramoji Rao on having received the nation's most prestigious honor.
