Actor Kalabhavan Mani Dead
Popular Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani who played villain role in Venkatesh starrer Gemini movie died at a private hospital. He was 45. He has died in Kochi on Sunday evening. He had been hospitalized for liver ailment. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
Meanwhile Chalakudy police have filed a case for unnatural death after traces of methanol was found in Mani's body. Mani had bagged national special jury award in 2000 for his performance in Malayalam film Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum. Kalabhavan.
Mani's death has come as a huge shock for his fans and the Malayalam film industry, many of his friends unable to even react to the tragedy. Mani has starred in over 200 films, including Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films, and is renowned for his comedy, character and villain role.
