Realtor held for harassing Actor's daughter
A real estate businessman was taken into custody after allegedly harassing a woman named Hemalatha; daughter of veteran South Indian film actress, K R Vijaya, Hemalatha, 47, was staying alone in an apartment on Avanashi Road and few days back she was approached by a businessman on the pretext of selling land.
The realtor Kathirvel, who is already married, approached Hemalatha on the pretext of selling land. Learning that the woman was staying alone Kathirvel sought her hand, saying he wanted to marry her. He said he was ready to divorce his wife if she accepts her proposal.
However, Hemalatha didn't entertain Kathirvel and told him she isn't interested. Kathirvel then told that marrying someone from KR Vijaya's family is his life ambition and began harassing her. Hemalatha immediately lodged a complaint with the police and a case was registered under Atrocities against Women's Act and Kathirvel was arrested last night. He has been remanded to judicial custody
