CineMAA awards 2016 event was held on Sunday night and Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' won major awards at the event. 'Baahubali' won the Best Film award and its director Rajamouli bagged award as Best Director.

NTR Jr received Best Actor award for Temper and Anushka won Best Actress Award for Rudramadevi. 'Baahubali' also won several awards in technical categories including music, singers, etc.

The Movie Artists Association (MAA) group introduced the CineMAA Awards in 2004 to honour artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Telugu Cinema. The winners are decided based on votes of both the public and a committee of experts.
