Unbelievable Price For Baahubali USA-Canada Rights
Baahubali 2 Starts creating Records from Pre-release Business itself. If the reports are to be believed, the North America Rights were sold for a Whopping 40 crores Price for a leading distributor on Minimum Guarantee Basis.This deal is for all languages.
As per report the movie's overseas rights have been divided as USA- Canada region rights and Rest of Overseas rights.This is record price for an Indian movie. No other films including Bollywood movies have fetched such record amount. Apart from USA-Canada the rest of overseas rights was acquired by a tamil distributor.
The part 1 of Baahubali minted 47 crores Share at Overseas Box Office in its full run, While in USA alone the film minted close to 30crores Share. But as Baahubali2 is having Bigger Craze than 1st part, the makers sold the Rights for a Heavy Price. Even the makers are not limited to 40 crores i.e makers will also get a Share in Revenue if the Profits are more.
Minimum Guarantee means Irrespective of the films Business at NorthAmerica Box Office, the makers will receive 40crores and at same time, when Distributors make even more revenue then they need to share it with Producers.
This is Indeed a Superb Deal, first of all the makers Dared to Invest a never Before Budget on a Telugu film, so they really deserve this Hefty Profits. Nonetheless, the Official first look poster of Baahubali 2 is slated for October 22nd release. So let's wait and see how many Sensations that poster creates soon after it's release.
