Special jury award to Edida Nageswara Rao Hyderabad: Starting from Siri Siri Muvva in 1978 followed by the epic Shankarabharanam, Seethakoka Chiluka, Sitaara, Sagara Sangamamam, Swathi Muthyam till Apathbhandavudu with some more scintillating films in between Edida Nageswara Rao produced many masterpieces under his illustrious banner Poornodaya Pictures and he richly deserves the special jury award announced by the State Government.
Balayya, who has a magnetic screen presence, was given the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award while versatile artiste Sharada was given the NTR Memorial Award.
B Narasing Rao, the heartbeat of Telangana, was conferred the NBReddy National Film Award and AVN Sarvanan was given away the Nagireddy Chakrapani National Film Award. The awards will be presented on Ugadi, March 23, here.
