Old timers having fun on small screen
Hyderabad: Jyothi Lakshmi, Anuradha who cast a spell of magic on the audience in 70 and 80s with their voluptuous extravaganza are back on the small screen on reality shows.
The name Jyothi Lakshmi conjures up the image of a vamp or what has come to be known as item songs of late.

Among that genre belongs Silk Smitha who turned a new leaf in that particular department as she was into acting as well in equal measure. Her tragic death and the biopic The Dirty Picture is history.
News is that the item girls of yesteryear's have come together for a game show.
Jyothi Lakshmi and Anuradha along with two juniors took part in a funny game show Chittham, Chittham Prayaschitam a weekly programme beamed by Zee.
The two seniors did not lose much of their charm though age befell on them and played the funny rounds with ease and danced their way to delight the viewers.
Celebrities of yesteryear's, Sankarabharanam fame Rajyalakshmi, Varalakshmi have been regulars on the small screen hopping from one channel to the other and Chandra Mohan too joined in some of the shows.
Besides being a ready platform for promoting new films, the game shows are also accommodating stars of yesteryears to give an appearance and show how they look like after quitting films.
