Charmi to play call girl role Hyderabad: Sultry siren Charmi Kaur, who sizzled as the bubbly girl, is now apparently eyeing an image makeover. She was last seen in 'Mayagadu' opposite Venu in 2011 which was a dud.
In the same year, she even debuted into Hindi filmdom with Big B starrer 'Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap' directed by Puri Jagannadh.
Her upcoming movie is 'Sevakudu', opposite Srikanth, which is in its post production work.
The latest buzz is that the 'Mantra' diva is in plans to do the role of a call girl. Seems she is keen to do the role as it is the dream role of every actress. The role has great prominence on the celluloid.
Veteran Tollywood actresses earlier sizzled in the roles are Savitri in 'Kanyasulkam', Jayaprada in 'Prema Mandiram', Jaya Sudha in 'Kaliyuga Sthree', 'Premaabhishekham', 'Kurukshetram lo Seetha', 'Prema Tharangalu' , Lakshmi in 'Malle Puvvu', Sri Devi in 'Mosagadu', Prabha in 'Neram Nadi Kadu' Akalidi' and recently Anushka in 'Vedam'.
Many leading ladies of B-town have also enacted the role of a prostitute like Rekha in 'Umrao Jaan', Tabu in 'Chandni Bar'.
Chandu, who earlier directed teen romances like 'Tenth Class', 'Note Book', will helm the movie.
The untitled movie, produced by duo - D Venkata Suresh, K Surya Srikanth - is said to be a musical love story which revolves around three characters- a call girl, a writer and a singer.
The film makers plan to rope debutant actors for the other two lead roles. Pre-production work is progressing at a brisk pace and Praveen Bangari is likely to handle the cinematography.
