Dialogue high on decibels, low in calories Hyderabad: Larger than life image and macho dialogues have been the vogue, no matter how far they could be from reality. If something is liked by people or a section of people, that trend continues till a spoof is made out of it.
Of late, directors penning dialogues, nay, punch lines and one- liners to show the valour have become a fashion.
In Pokiri, it was 'evadukodithe dimma thirigi mind block avuthundo vade panddu gadu.'
Next came Businesman which has 'confusionlo ekkuva kottesthanu'. Okka sari commit ayanante na mata nene vinanu. Nee oorocha, nee intikocha, Kanti chooputo champesta, Molataduto champesta and the like.
Now Dammu has gone a step ahead, in fact ten steps, as Jr NTR says, nenu kodithe' padi'padi tharalavaraku neevamsamlo maga pilladu puttadanki bhaya padatahadu.
It may sound ridiculous, but people get excited at that moment and fans lap them up. In a sense this is not entirely a new trend.
Even in olden days heroes were given more valour than what the character can carry but if it exceeds the acceptable levels, the thrill will be limited to fans only irrespective of who the artiste is.
