Audio functions get more glitter Hyderabad: With set reporting becoming almost history, it is only muhurat, audio, preview and review that goes into print for any film.
Of late audio functions have been getting good response and providing a platform to bring together veterans, reigning starts, new comers and aspirants as well.
Small timers too get an opportunity (and some remunerating of course) and the bash goes on with some channel or the other getting exclusive rights and the commercial element is fulfilled.
The other day we have seen Dammu audio. It was done on a grand scale. Hero Jr NTR, director Boaypati Srinu went on to share their experiences how the hero rejected the director, who in turn carried on the pursuit and resulted in the film Dammu.
Others on the dais did shower a praise or two and the function ended on expected lines. Jr NTR gave the finishing touch by saying once more to the trailer and it was done.
Next day it was Eega. Whatever it is, the stage was very glittering laden with top heroes and directors. Veterans D Rama Naidu, Dasari Narayana Rao and K Ragahaendra Rao occupied the centre stage for the SS Rajamuli science fiction film while Keeravani was there among the grey hairs.
Coming to heroes you name it you have them, two generation stars drawn from a wide range. Starting with Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Prabhas, Jr NTR, Rana, Ravi Teja, Sunil and the present hero Nani came on to the dais in one go along with Samantha.
Rajamouli had directed most them and gave a hit. So the heroes paid back by attending the function, so it seems. Ram Charan Tej of Magadheera fame must be busy with his Racha, so goes the buzz.
Whatever be the reason, audio releases are giving an opportunity for outing for the veterans and sometimes bringing together prominent people in the industry. It is a good trend and an eyeful of sight to watch.
