Prabhas to return as 'Billa 2'
Hyderabad: Although he had no releases till now this year, Prabhas is going on a signing spree. The actor is said to have given his nod for 'Billa 2,' the sequel to 'Billa'. This comes after much speculation whether the film will go on floors or not considering that it was waiting in the wings for a long time.
Gopikrishna Movies which produced the earlier 'Billa' will be producing the sequel too. It is heard that the film will nowhere be related to 'Billa 2' which is being made in Tamil at this juncture with Ajith Kumar in the lead.
While the Tamil version is touted to be a prequel to Billa's early life before he turns into a dreaded underworld don, the makers of Telugu are toying with the idea of starting the story where it ended in Telugu.
'Billa' turned out to be a profitable venture at the box-office prompting the makers to start a sequel some time ago. The film which was made on high technical standards was directed by Meher Ramesh. The details regarding cast and crew of the film are awaited.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is presently busy with 'Rebel' and 'Vaaradhi' after which he will start shooting for Rajamouli's mega-budget venture.
