T-agitators disrupt 'Daruvu' audio release Hyderabad: 'Daruvu' starring Ravi Teja and Taapsee had its audio launch Wednesday evening except for a brief interruption.
While the programme was going on, protestors who were against the title barged into the venue shouting slogans of Jai Telangana before the security escorted them out by manhandling them.
The protesters demanded the makers to change the title as they were of the opinion that the term 'Daruvu' is not meant for commercial usage as its significance is associated with Telangana revolutionaries.
Minus the hiccup, the programme went smoothly although fans were disappointed since the lead star Ravi Teja couldn't make his presence felt at the event as he was busy shooting for 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu' in Bangkok.
But the makers compensated it by arranging a video conference with the star who was at his usual best taking potshots at Taapsee, Brahamanandam and Srinivas Reddy, his co-actors of the film.
Brahmanandam launched the audio to give away the first CD to actress-turned-politician Jayasudha, who expressed that she is a big fan of Ravi Teja and poured compliments on the actor by suggesting that he is a natural actor.
Mind you, she is the lady who's credited with the title Sahajanati (Natural actress).
'I've done all 14 films that Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna has produced and I came to know that he was waiting for a right director to produce a film as it was a long time since he produced his last,' said Brahmanandam.
Also in attendance were the film's cast and crew comprising Taapsee, Vennela Kishore, director Siva, composer Vijay Anthony and Editor Gowtham Raju. The film is set to hit the screens on May 5.
