Charan's wedding in Hyd, reception in Tirupati Hyderabad: A 'muhurtam' and two receptions are part of the grand marriage of actor Ramcharan Tej and Upasana Kamineni, an alliance which will bring two influential families of the State together.
The much-awaited event will take place here at 7.50 a.m. on June 14 with all the glitz, glamour, hype and hoopla.
The engagement was held at a farmhouse on the outskirts of the State capital on December 1 last in the presence of the girl's parents, Anil and Shobana Kamineni, grandfather and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, Pratap C. Reddy, and the groom's parents, Surekha and K. Chiranjeevi, apart from family members and close friends comprising the elite.
Mr. Chiranjeevi is said to have held discussions with Dr. Pratap Reddy and other members of the families over breakfast on April 25 when the 'lagna patrika' was written.
While the former proposes to host a reception exclusively for fans in Tirupati on June 15, the latter is considering a lavish dinner for people in his native village of Ardhagiri, a little away from the temple town.
Initially, the families intended to perform the wedding at Domakonda Fort, in Upasana's ancestral village in Nizamabad district.
However, in view of the logistics involved, with a host of high-profile guests flying in from all over the country and abroad, it was decided to shift the venue to the State capital.
Among places under active consideration are Novotel, N-Convention Centre or a farmhouse on the outskirts of the city.
