Puri, Menon lauds Varma's rogue ways Hyderabad: Directors Puri Jagannadh and Gautham Vasudev Menon are gushing about Ram Gopal Varma's new style of filmmaking- rogue methodology. Apparently, Ramu has shot his upcoming 'Department' without a DOP (director of photography).
Both Puri and Gautham took to Twitter and couldn't stop raving about Ramu's making. 'Destroy the rules.. Wow Rgv sir.. Amazing stuff. Saw the rogue methodology video. Desperate to watch 'department' now. Inspiring stuff!,' tweeted the 'Ye Maya Chesave' director.
On the other hand, Puri Jagannadh, an admirer and close confidante of Ramu has tweeted this on a funny note, 'If Department scores at the box-office, then cameraman's will kill RGV because industry should listen to what he says and if it isn't the case, then RGV will kill us'. 'Amithji's role in Department is Superb. Department is going to change the history. It's a trend setter.
RGV rocks with his ROGUE methodology,' added the 'Pokiri 'maker in another tweet of his. This isn't the first time that Ramu has shot his film without a DOP. His earlier films, 'Dongala Mutha' and 'Not A Love Story' followed the same pattern.
'Department' features Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Lakshmi Manchu and Madhu Shalini in the lead roles. It will hit the marquee on May 18.
