Actor Jiiva caught in Jagan nightmare Chennai: Actor Jiiva on Monday was affected by the unrest prevailing in Andhra Pradesh following the arrest of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday.
The actor, who visited Tirupati with his family, experienced a few hours' delay in returning to the city, as the road had been blocked by agitators at two places en route.
The actor stated at a microblogging site around 1.50 pm on Monday that political issues in AP had taken the public for a ride, explaining his situation. He even posted a photograph of the spot on his site.
His car, the actor stated, was first blocked near Varadaiahpalem and was cleared a while later. The next roadblock came too soon, about 20 metres later, which the police couldn't clear because the area did not fall under its jurisdiction.
Jiiva stated that the cops, who were from Varadaiahpalem, claimed to have no power to clear a roadblock in the neighbouring Sullurpeta, as it did not fall under their jurisdiction.
The actor posted constant updates on his site. The ordeal cost the actor a few hours of his time, and he clarified in the evening that he had reached home safe.
