Damarukam' lands in controversy King Nagarjuna is starring in a socio fantasy flick along with his romantic lady Anushka. The film titled 'Damarukam' is a high budget film worth Rs 30 crore and is directed by Srinivas Reddy.
Film makers are spending a bomb on the graphic works, CGI and special effects that lasts for around 50 minutes.
Now the buzz is the film landed in a controversy with its title being the bone of difference.
According to sources some time back director Navin Kalyan and producer Pramod Kumar registered the title with film chamber on Aarnav Productions banner in 2008.
They also got it renewed for two more years and started shooting for the film. However their film was stalled when producer met with an accident.
When RR Movie Makers announced King Nagarjuna's film, they approached the film chamber but met with curt reply with officials saying since they did not report progress of their film, title was awarded to others.
However, Aarnav Productions are planning to go for a legal course of action to retain their title.
Some say that, 'Damarukam' was registered by Aarnav while RR Movie Makers are coming with 'Dhamarukam.'
There is a difference of alphabet 'h' in both the titles. One has to wait for the final outcome to understand the intricacies present in both parties arguments.
