Taapsee not to play second fiddle roles Seems actress Taapsee Pannu has lost her interest playing second fiddle roles. She is not keen to play such roles in near future.
The actress is apparently miffed with reports doing the rounds about her playing the second female lead in director Sundar C Babu's new Tamil film.
'Pandem Kodi' star Vishal plays the lead in the movie which also features Varalaxmi, daughter of veteran actor Sarath Kumar.
'Mogudu' girl Taapsee wrote on her micro blogging site twitter: 'Came across d CRAPPIEST article written recently so lemme giv em a piece of my mind. I am not playing 2nd lead in any of my movies nemore" 'N especially in my tamil movies I don't hav a glamorous role at all! So kindly chk ur knowledge b4 u misuse d space u get online to write! (sic),' she added.
Meanwhile her diary is chock-a-block with projects galore. She recently told that, 'Venkatesh-starrer 'Shadow' is progressing and we recently shot songs in Switzerland. Coming to bi-lingual 'Gundello Godari' ('Maranthen Mannithen' in Tamil), it is a story set in the backdrop of the 1986 Godavari floods. I'll be seen in sarees where I've already been getting compliments for my looks.
Besides, I'm also doing a movie opposite Gopichand directed by Chandrasekhar Eleti. And an untitled flick starring Ajith and Arya in the lead and directed by Vishnu Vardhan. I pair up with Arya in the movie. I'm not the second fiddle and all the four roles are equally important.
I'm electrified and anticipated about my Hindi debut- 'Chasme Buddoor' in which I reprise the role that Deepthi Naval played in 1981 cult-comedy. The director made few changes to my role where it is more modern and urbanised character. The movie is loaded with witty one-liners that we all use commonly. It is slated for release on August 24.'
