Mohan Babu insulted at Maa Cine Awards
Politics played dirty games spitting venom and showing its power to split tollywood vertically at Maa Cine Awards. Maa Cine Awards were given to top performers at a grand function on Sunday and everyone was witness to Collection King Mohan Babu insulted by organisers in full public gaze.
Mohan Babu, who had been invited to felicitate close friend and actor K. Raghavendra Rao with the lifetime achievement award at the ceremony, walked out of the function annoyed with the organisers. He didn't even hand over the award to his friend.
Mohan Babu's close aide says 'There was a clear breach of protocol and his seniority and stature weren't respected. He was deeply annoyed with the organisers' unprofessional arrangement,' which the organisers vehemently deny saying 'It's false.
He had come to felicitate Raghavendra Rao and even came on the stage to garland him. He couldn't stay back for the final felicitation and give his speech as he left the venue to attend to some personal work. Every celebrity was given his due respect,'.
Mohan Babu's close aide says 'But he didn't get his due. The function was hijacked by Chiranjeevi and Akkineni families since they are the co-owners of the channel that gives out the awards.
In fact, the emcee of the show asked Allu Aravind, Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi and ANR to stay back on stage to felicitate Raghvendra Rao and asked the rest, including Mohan Babu, to leave the stage. He had no choice left,' .
Film industry sources feel that it was done at the behest of Mega Star Chiranjeevi who holds stake in Maa TV along with King Nagarjuna. It was rumored that those who owe allegiance to YS Jagan should not be given due importance.
That was the reason why MAA TV stopped telecasting Mohan Babu's films which was not the case till Nimmagadda Prasad was on board. The moment he was arrested entire scene changed. Of the film fraternity only Mohan Babu aired views in support of Prasad while others kept quiet.
