Rajamouli says no to big heroes Vijayawada: Director of Blockbuster movie 'Eega' while interacting with the media at the Airtel-sponsored 'Meet and Greet' programme at Vijayawada expressed his feelings about making movies with big heroes in the lead role.
'I am not comfortable with big heroes in making films,' he said. However, he immediately clarified to add that actors like Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna are bigger than big heroes and he was not comfortable with them.
'I am making films with big heroes like Mahesh, Prabhas and other new generation heroes,' he said.
Rajamouli said the tour of the State was to get direct feedback from the audience. 'It is not a success tour or anything else,' he said. He said that he was on cloud nine with the success of Eega and the response he was getting from the audience.
He thanked the people for their patronage and said that the attention being showered on him was frightening and he could not move an inch when his fans mobbed him. Anyway, he said, he was enjoying all this. "Fans are turning violent to meet us and we enjoy their violence," he said.
Star producer D Suresh said that they have been touring all over the State from Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Guntur and now Vijayawada. "Kids are really enjoying the movie," he said.
When asked Rajamouli said that the credit goes to entire team of technicians and actors who put in their full efforts for the success of the film.
"I feel embarrassed when someone says that it is his image that brought success to the film. It is the story that made it success," he said.
He said that he had confidence in the story. "The image of Rajamouli may help to get good openings for the movie, but ultimately it is the story of the movie that reigns supreme," he said.
"I feel elated if I am compared with great director like Shankar. But there is no comparison. He has his own class," he said. Hero of the film Nani, comedian Ramesh, Singer Deepu and others also participated.
