'Eega' piracy responsibility with exhibitors Suresh Babu, presenter for the superhit film 'Eega' recently got owners of three theaters arrested for piracy and even cancelled their licences.
In a press conference he said 'Eega' was released with 1100 prints and piracy was noticed in Velmurugan theater, Coimbatore, Gouri Shankar theater Varadayya Palem, Chittoor and Sri Vajreswari theater in Karnataka.
He said eradication of 'Eega' piracy or preventing of piravy of the film lies with the exhibitors and to that effect, all exhibitors were made to sign a written agreement.
He said theater owners will be held responsible for 'Eega' piracy and Vijender Reddy requested theater owners to be careful about that.
He said UFX, PXD, Qube and Phisical prints piracy can be found with little changes in water marks.
He said those who download the movie on internet will also be booked on various counts.
He even efforts are on to monitor usage of cell phones in theaters. Askok Kumar, Rajkumar, Sai Korrapati, Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna and others participated in the press meet.
