Navadeep fined for drunken driving Hyderabad: A local court on imposed a fine of Rs 8,000 on actor Navadeep after he was convicted in a case of drunken driving and abusing police officials on duty.
The III Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Court directed the actor to pay the fine or undergo simple imprisonment for a period of three months.
He was booked for drunken driving in May 2010. However, he challenged the case slapped against him and refused to pay the fine.
He had also abused the police on duty when he was caught. This is not the first time the court has imposed fine on Navadeep.
He had to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 for violation of wildlife laws in 2010. The actor and his friends including three women hired a boat for a voyage from Nagarjuna Sagar to Srisailam without permission from Forest officials in November 2010.
A case was booked against him, but the same was closed after imposing the fine along with a warning.
