Amala Paul steals the show Actor Nani who is basking in the glory of 'Eega' is teaming up with director Samuthrakani for 'Jenda Pai Kapiraju' (JPK), a Telugu-Tamil bilingual.
The director known for hard-hitting themes with films like 'Shambo Shiva Shambo' and 'Sangharshana' is following the same theme for 'JPK'.
Actress Amala Paul will be sharing screen space alongside Nani in the film that was launched at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad on Wednesday morning.
The 'Prema Khaidi' actress dressed in a white gown was the show stealer of the muhurat. Darshakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao who was unwell attended the event on behalf of the request of producer K S Srinivasan.
As Dasari was making his way to the pooja ceremony of the film, he tripped down on the carpet much to the concern of other personalities.
Hardly making a fuss of it provided with a small injury, Dasari went ahead enthusiastically and clapped for the film's first shot.
'The film deals with the day to day problems in the society. Nani will be presented in a new dimension.
The film's Telugu title was with Krishna Vamsi garu, but on my request he parted the title to me,' said director Samuthrakani.Said Nani, 'I can't reveal too much about the film, but it's the most challenging role that I will play. The title is a symbol of victory. It's a triumph over badness within us.'
Said Amala Paul, 'Hopefully, I'll learn Telugu before the completion of the movie (laughs). Director Samuthrakani's films are appreciated critically and commercially and I hope this one too turns out to be the same.'
Composer GV Prakash and writer Shashank Vennelakanti and producer Srinivasan were also present at the meet conducted to brief the press about the film.
The regular shoot of the film will commence from August 5 in Chalakudy, Kerala, followed by a Goan outing on August 10.
Other eminent personalities like Thammareddy Bharadaj, K S Ramarao and RB Choudhary etc too made their presence felt at the launch.
