Santosham Film Awards on 12 August
Santosham Film Awards (SFA), noted film awards of Tollywood, is all set to felicitate the acting icons of Southern filmdom this year as Santosham magazine celebrates the tenth anniversary.
Journalist-turned-producer Suresh Kondeti is organising the awards ceremony which will be held on August 12 at Novotel, Hyderabad. First of its kind, the actors and technicians of four languages-Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam- will be felicitated.
Speaking at the curtain raiser of the grand gala on Thursday, he said, 'It is Nagarjuna's 'Santosham' movie that turned my life.
I've distributed the film and incurred profits before starting my magazine 'Santosham' with that money.
A year later, Nagarjuna advised me to start up an awards function like Film Fare and that's how Santosham Film Awards took shape. I'm glad that we're also felicitating actors of other languages this year.'
Newly elected president of APFCC Tammareddy Bharadwaja said, 'Suresh has come a long way. He is committed and proved. I wish him a great success ahead.'
Actors Aadi, Siva Balaji, Madhavi Latha, Tashu Kaushik and others too were present at the meet.
