Laxmi Rai as 'Kanchana 2'
While actress Laxmi Rai is known to be in the news for all wrong reasons, she is now keen to be in the limelight just for acting.
Yes, the actress, who was once rumoured to be choreographer-turned-director Raghava Lawrence's muse, before she denied it, will be a part of the sequel to his erstwhile hit 'Kanchana', 'Kanchana 2'.
Laxmi, a top-heroine in Malayalam industry in the past, has been promised by the 'Style' director that she will be a part of the sequel if it goes on floors and the maker has lived upto it.
Meanwhile, the actress, who all this while was seen as a glam doll in Tamil and Telugu films, is excited about her character in Vikram-starrer 'Shiva Thandavam' and is hoping to prove her critics wrong.
The film is slated to hit the cinema halls this September. While the Tamil version of the film had its audio launch recently, the Telugu version's audio launch will be on August 27.
