Ajay to act with SRK in 'Chennai Express' After actor Supreeth made his B-town debut in Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Rowdy Rathore' this year, it's now the turn of actor Ajay to spread his wings in Bollywood and that too alongside superstar ShahRukh Khan for 'Chennai Express'.
Director Rohit Shetty who has a connection or two with south cinema after remakes like 'Anukokunda Oka Roju' and 'Yamudu' in Hindi as 'Sunday' and 'Singham' respectively, was keen on a south actor to do the concerned role, reports say.
The director, we hear, has first approached Tamil actor Arya, but his unavailability made Rohit to opt for Ajay after having liked his work in 'Vikramarkudu'.
The film is set to take off from the end of September and is a story about a guy who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram in a train. Deepika Padukone is paired opposite King Khan for the second time after 'Om Shanti Om'. The film is expected to hit the screens in mid-2013.
