High Court stays 'Sorry Teacher' Hyderabad: Justice R Subhash Reddy of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on granted interim stay to the screening of the Telugu feature film 'Sorry Teacher'.
Dealing with a writ petition filed by Telangana Women's Teachers' Association, the judge said that the said feature film was not suitable for public viewing.
The petitioner association filed a writ petition in the State High Court alleging that the film showed the relationship between a student and a teacher in bad light. The judge had previously ordered a private screening of the said film.
The judge concurred with the petitioners that the film was not suitable for public viewing as the position of a teacher in a society was different and passed the interim stay.
