Sana Khan to reprise Silk Smitha
Actress Sana Khan's career in Tollywood might not have taken a smooth ride, but the Mumbai girl is keen to prove a point with her forthcoming Malayali film 'Climax', a biopic on the item queen, late Silk Smitha.
The film directed by Anil will not be on the lines of a commercial entertainer, like Ekta Kapoor's 'The Dirty Picture'. It is said to a true documentation of sex symbol of yesteryear, although the makers denied it saying that it is a portrayal of Silk Smitha.
Sana is playing the role of Poomkodi, hailing from a small town before making it big in the industry as Supriya and finally committing suicide.
Sounding like Silk story, right? Even Ekta backtracked after suggesting initially that 'The Dirty Picture' is on the life of southern sex siren.
Last seen in 'Mr Nookayya' alongside Manchu Manoj, the actress is upbeat about her role and we hear that she has shot for a period of 32 days on a stretch.
