Balakrishna starrer 'Srimannarayana' film makers director Ravi Chavali and producer Ramesh Puppala were arrested yesterday by KPHB police for not heeding to their advice to stop protests.
The incident happened when the two joined NBK fans who were protesting the removal of their hero Srimannarayana screening at Arjun theater for Nagarjuna's 'Shirdi Sai'.
The film makers alleged that the theater owners replaced 'Srimannarayana' which is getting good collections for the owners in two of the screens for 'Shirdi Sai'.
They requested the owners to continue the film at least in one screen which was rejected by them. They alleged that the theater owners signed an agreement even with Film Chamber members to screen 'Srimannarayana' for somethime.
Police entered the scene on the complaint of owners who refute the allegations of the film makers. They said 'Srimannarayana' screening was only for seven days.
Police arrested NBK fans along with Ramesh Puppala and Ravi Chavali. Film Chamber president Tammareddy Bhardwaj went to KPHB police station and assured them the matter will be solved amicably.
Bharadwaj said the problem arouse as the as the persons who gave the theater for lease did not follow the agreement arrived at the Film Chamber.
