Pawan launches 'Devaraya' audio Amidst 'Power star' chants rupturing the roof of Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan, the chief guest of the evening launched the audio of Srikanth-starrer 'Devaraya' on Wednesday.
The film which sees newcomers Meenaxi Dixit and Videesha giving Srikanth the company, deals with an untold story of Sri Krishnadevaraya, ancient emperor of Vijayanagara.
Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao received the first CD from Pawan Kalyan who said that he shares a special equation with Srikanth. 'I like him a lot.
He's the trusted aide of annayya Chiranjeevi. I liked the trailers of 'Devaraya' and when Srikanth came to the shoot of my film (Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu) to invite me, not giving it a second thought I said I'll attend the event,' said the 'Gabbar Singh' star.
Srikanth was all praise for the normally reclusive star who rarely attends film related events. He said, 'I have a healthy relationship with annayya family since a long time. However, I'm not that close to Pawan Kalyan (smiles).
He used to attend family gatherings and wish everyone before making an exit. I went to invite him with a doubt and when I put forward my proposal, without uttering a single word he said he's in.'
The film, told in back and forth narration, sees Srikanth play dual roles - Dorababu and Sri Krishnadevaraya. Chakri has composed the soundtrack of the film.
Actors Shivaji Raja, Prabhu, Jeevi, Raghu, Shanvi , producers Ramesh Puppala, CR Manohar and Anil, director Ravi Chavali, Film Chamber president Thammareddy Bharadwaj, Producer's council secretary Prasanna Kumar besides the cast and crew of 'Devaraya' attended the do.
