I'm too young to tie the knot: Prabhas

With Prabhas' fans in big numbers from all over AP, the audio launch of his upcoming film 'Rebel' which after witnessing many delays, turned out to be a star-studded affair in Hyderabad on Friday evening.

Attended by the big wigs of the industry, Prabhas' uncle/actor Krishnam Raju launched the audio CD to hand over the first copy to ace director S S Rajamouli who said that he never heard Prabhas say negative things about anybody till now.

Krishnam Raju plays the role of Prabhas' father in the film and he is returning to silver screen after his stint in 'Billa'. 'I've said on the very first day of my shoot that the film will reach new scales and no doubt it will. Prabhas grown more than me as an actor and I've never seen him boast about himself till now since childhood,' said the veteran.

However, it was director Raghava Lawrence who stole the show with his humour filled speech at length. Explaining the reasons for the delay in the film's progress, 'I've narrated a script based on physically challenged people at first to Prabhas which in the process turned more commercial. Actress Anushka, who was to play a yoga teacher in the film had to be replaced in the last minute by Tamannaah due to the former's date-hassles.

At the same time, I wanted Sarath Kumar to play Prabhas' dad in the film, but he wanted his uncle to play that part. So delay was inevitable, but I promise you fans that I've directed each and every shot keeping you people in mind,' said Lawrence to a thumping reception, by adding, 'Krishnam Raju garu earned Rebel tag after completing 50 films and to keep that tag Prabhas is working as hard as he can.' He also said that Prabhas named the film 'Rebel'.

Prabhas' presence on the podium livened up the proceedings for the hooting fans. Clad in a white shirt and denim jeans, he was seen having a lively time with the director as opposed to certain news which said that 'all is not well' between the two.

The actor who was last seen in 'Mr Perfect' more than an year ago said he got bored after doing two family dramas and preferred a subject which has all the mass elements. Much to the joy of his fans he uttered a dialogue from the film not before suggesting that he is still too young to tie the knot.

Producers Dil Raju, Bellamkonda Suresh, NV Prasad, actors Chalapathi Rao, Brahmanandam, Ali, Supreeth, Deeksha Seth, and singer Malathi besides the cast and crew of 'Rebel' graced the occasion. The audio will be available in the stores from September 16.

The film will hit the marquee on September 28. Eminent Tollywood producers have purchased the area-wise distribution rights of the film that has music by Lawrence himself. Earlier, Brahamanandam and Ali's brief speech brought the auditorium to a fan-frenzy.
