Actress Ashwini dies of cardiac arrest Noted south Indian actress Ashwini who was battling ill health for the past few months at Chennai's Sri Ramachandra hospital, died of a cardiac arrest on Sunday.
She was 43. She was seen in notable films like 'Vajrayudham', 'Srivaru', 'Pelli Chesi Chudu' with superstar Krishna, Sobhan Babu and Rajendra Prasad respectively. After a stable acting career, she shifted base to Chennai.
Her other noteworthy films include 'Station Master', 'Chupulu Kalisini Subhavela', 'Neeku Naaku Pellanta' and 'Aranyakanda'. Besides acting in 150 Telugu films (supporting roles include), she also played prominent roles in Tamil and Malayalam films.
She was about to start a new daily soap before her sickness prompted her to push the project aside. Ashwini's last rites were performed in Nellore, her birthplace.
